What to Expect at CSO Ada Ankara

CSO Ada Ankara is a concert venue at Talatpaşa Bulvarı, No: 38, 06330 Opera, Ankara. It hosts the Presidential Symphony Orchestra alongside choirs and ensembles affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Its programme ranges from classical music and jazz to folk music, tango, recitals, chamber music and children’s events, so check which hall is hosting the performance you plan to attend.

The largest space, Ziraat Bankası Ana Salon, has 2,023 seats arranged across 10 seating blocks, with eight entrance and exit doors. Its vineyard-style seating is designed to provide a 360-degree viewing experience.

Bankkart Mavi Salon has 512 seats, while Tarihi Salon has 683. The Green Room can serve 48 people and offers food inspired by world cuisines before and after performances.

The complex opened to visitors on 3 December 2020. Uygur Mimarlık designed it after winning first prize in a 1992 architectural competition. The project was planned as a cultural centre connecting cultural districts and bringing together soil, water and green space.

If you have time beyond the performance, CSO1826 is an exhibition area with instruments and objects linked to the orchestra’s history. Among them are a bell used by Muzikâ-i Hümâyûn musicians in 1838 and a violin associated with Osman Zeki Üngör. Individual visits are free, and group visits are also available.

Finding Events and Booking Tickets

The CSO Ada Ankara programme calendar gives the date, start time and hall for each listed performance. Listings include a “Bilet Al” link for ticket purchases. An individual event page may provide additional details about that performance, so check it before settling on your plans.

Event details can change: CSO Ada Ankara may alter dates, times, halls or programmes. Check the official site before you go, especially when planning around a particular performance. The hall name on the event listing is useful to note in advance, since the venue has several separate performance spaces.

Getting to the Venue

You can reach CSO Ada Ankara by bus, metro, Başkentray commuter rail or private car. For buses, the venue identifies the “Selim Sırrı Tarcan Spor Salonu” stops on Talatpaşa Bulvarı and the “Adliye” stops on Atatürk Bulvarı as access points. EGO’s route listing includes line 354 at the Selim Sırrı Tarcan Spor Salonu stop.

The venue’s directions point metro passengers to Sıhhiye station on the OSB–Törekent–Koru line, proceeding from Ankara Courthouse, or Adliye station on the Keçiören–Kızılay line, proceeding from the open car park. For Başkentray, Yenişehir is listed as an access stop. Check current transit information as you choose a route, since schedules and service details can change.

If you’re driving, the venue has paid parking in a four-level facility with capacity for 703 vehicles. The venue warns that parking and hall entrances may become congested before concerts and other events. Allow extra time for the approach and for parking rather than planning to arrive just before the listed start time.

Planning Your Arrival and Departure

CSO Ada Ankara asks visitors to arrive early because parking and hall entrances can be busy before performances. Check your event’s hall in advance, then leave time to get from your transport stop or parking space to the right entrance.

If you’re meeting someone, agree on a point before the crowd builds up; the venue has multiple halls and several entrances and exits.

For a separate stop in central Ankara, you can pair the concert plan with a visit to Güvenpark. If you’re arranging your stay in the city, see Enerji Otel as one accommodation option.
